Updated Front Direction: When using Y as the up direction, the front now points forward along the Z axis—aligning with most CAD tools.
Grid Colors: A grid with axis colors has also been added to 3D Models. The orthogonal grid center lines are now Red and Green, when the Z axis is up, and Red and Blue when the Y axis is up.Improved Camera Orbiting: Orbiting is now more stable—clicking in empty space no longer shifts the focal point.Pickable Option: Parts in the 3D Models Editor now include a toggle to make them non-pickable. When disabled, the part cannot be selected and will not be highlighted when its parent assembly is selected.Where Used: A new option in the Inspector shows where a part is used. You can now open its parent assembly in a new browser tab with one click.CAD Matching Refactor: Matching logic for linking CAD to service parts has been improved. The system will now automatically pick a part number from a file name. Service Part Regexes Removed: Regex-based logic for matching service parts has been removed. The system now links parts automatically.To handle format differences (e.g. 123.456 vs 123-456), use the Engineering Part Number field when importing spreadsheets.Attachment Regexes Removed: Attachments (e.g., PDFs) are now automatically linked if the part number is found in the filename.Flexible Import Order: You can now import the parts list before processing CAD. The system will auto-match CAD files when they become available.Alternative Part Number Matching: The engineering part number can now be used as an alternative when no service part number is provided, in addition to its existing use as a replacement when both numbers are present.Added a button in the Service Part Display Type section to jump directly to the associated 3D model. If multiple models match, the one in use will appear at the top.
Due to the Updated Front Direction, you may need to regenerate thumbnails to ensure correct alignment. (See Known Issue #2.)Attachment files can now be PDF, PNG, or JPG file types. Those images and PDFs appear as attachments on the Part that matches their file name.In the Parts Catalog, attachments are now displayed beneath the description, and the Add to Cart button is hidden for non-sellable parts.Configuration Option Tags: Illustrations now support configuration option tags, allowing users to filter and display optional parts or subassemblies based on applied tags.Callout and Shape Tools: Rectangle selection and the Delete key now work correctly with callouts and shapes.Hide Options: Hide and Unhide have been combined into a single toggle action (Hide/Show Selection) and, along with Unhide All, have been moved from the View menu to the Selection menu.PLM Integration – ArasPLM: Zea Sync now supports syncing CAD files from either ArasPLM or local file sources. Choose your source under 3D Models Settings in the Zea Sync app.
Support for additional PLM solutions can now be integrated by request.DWG file format: Zea Sync now supports the DWG file format for CAD processing.Remove Yourself from Organization: Users can now leave organizations they do not own via the Organization Users tab in Organization Settings.If you notice issues with illustration alignment or rotation, see Known Issue #3 above related to the Updated Front Direction change.Fixed a bug where unchecking the Sellable checkbox failed to correctly filter the item when the Make non-serviceable parts translucent option was active.Hidden Geometry in Models no longer caused an outline when selecting BOM Items.Fixed an issue where newly invited users did not appear in Organization Users until the page was refreshed.

There is a chance that model rotation in illustrations may appear incorrect after this update. If this happens, please contact us at , and we’ll assist you in resolving the issue.
3. Zea Sync Not Finding Files
If Zea Sync cannot locate your files, navigate to a workspace where you have previously processed CAD and reselect the correct folder. This should resolve the issue.
