Overview
This article explains how user roles are managed in Zea. It covers Organizations, Workspaces, and apps, providing detailed role permissions for each.
Organization Roles
An Organization can have unlimited users. Each user will be able to view the 3D models of Workspaces they have access to.
Owner - The creator of the Organization. Has full administrative rights. Admin - Most administrative rights, including billing. Cannot delete an Organization. Standard - Access to Workspaces they are added to; cannot invite other users. Organization Roles Comparison
Workspace Roles
Access to Workspaces is determined at the Organization level. Permissions for specific roles apply across all Workspaces within the Organization.
App Roles
Zea apps like Zea Illustrations and Zea Parts have distinct user role management and seat policies. See below.
Zea Illustrations
Roles
Editor - Can create and edit illustration projects. This role requires a paid seat. Editor (Trial) - Can create and edit illustration projects but is limited to five projects across the Organization. Viewer: No access to illustration projects. Seats
Editors and Editors (Trial) each consume a seat, while Viewers do not require a seat.
Trial
Each Workspace includes a trial version of Zea Illustrations.
Offers three Editor (Trial) seats per Workspace. Limits the Organization to a total of five illustration projects. All exported images include a watermark. After you upgrade to a paid subscription the Editor (Trial) role is no longer available. Paid Subscription
The paid subscription allows unlimited illustration projects without watermarks. Paid Editors can create, edit, and delete illustrations across all Workspaces in the Organization.
Admins and Owners who wish to manage an Organization without a paid Zea Illustrations seat can opt for the Viewer role.
